The Dream began twelve years ago in the heart of Doug Bird, Senior Pastor of  Abundant Life Fellowship in Roseville. When he drove through the city, he didn't see a place, a safe haven, a youth center where young people could go and hang out. He did not see a place where young people could go and be inspired to live their dreams and achieve their goals.
At the same time on the other side of the city, Bill Thomas was buying one piece of  weight equipment at a time. When his mother passed away he took the money left to him and started the Sacramento Outreach Sports Center. In 1994, these two men met and it was like nitro and glycerin. With their love for the Lord and the lost, mixed with an enjoyment to work out and sports, they started the first Lord's Gym  Sports Center in Roseville, California.
The mission of the Lord's Gym is to move people closer to the Lord - John 15:4-9, and to REACH THE LOST AT ANY COST. Matt 28:18-20. The Lord's Gym provides a safe, drug and alcohol free environment for the whole family, reaching up and out.
